JitBot or JitBot.com, herein represent the company, owners,
directors and operators of the web site jitbot.com, put forward the following
contest rules. You must fulfill and agree to all the rules to be a contestant
and to be eligible to win. To be eligible to win one of the many prizes
offered, you must be 18 years of age or older and a good citizen of the United
States or Canada at the time of the winning. Residents of Quebec, Canada are
not eligible for this contest. You must use the JitBot.com search engine
unfiltered and untempered within the jitbot.com domain. Contestants must be
using a supported modern graphical web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer 5+,
Mozilla 1+, Netscape 6+ and Opera 7+) and be able to receive/render dynamically
generated web pages, open pop-up windows, execute/render JavaScripts and
receive/store/transmit cookies to be qualified.
Winners are randomly selected based on their unique IP address(es)
per month performing a valid search on JitBot.com. The winning prize is
randomly chosen from one of the many prizes currently available in stock. The
more valid searches performed, the better the odds of winning. A valid search
must be intentional, and not be automated by any script, applications or any
other physical automation devices. The algorithm used in selecting a winner is
pseudo-random and is entirely up to JitBot.
Contestants are allowed to refer JitBot to other users via our
e-mail interface located at http://www.jitbot.com/refer.php. For each valid
referral, the contestant receives a 1% increase in favor of his/her probability
of winning the prize. For example, suppose on a given day, the probability for
a particular contestant is 1/100 searches and the contestant holds 10
referrals. In this instance, the contestant will have increased his/her odds of
winning by 10%, which equates to 1/10 searches. A valid referral is a unique
user to jitbot.com that has performed one valid search after clicking on the
hyperlink in the invitation e-mail from JitBot sent on behalf of the referrer.
JitBot maintains a list of contestants that have referred using cookies and is
not responsible for the lost or misuse of the cookies. There is no recourse for
retrieving a lost cookie. Contestant who resort to spamming to increase the
number of referrals will be excluded from the contest.
The winner will only be notified once by a small pop-up web
browser window. The pop-up window will clearly state the winning prize and the
IP address of the winner. To claim the prize, the winner must enter his/her
contact information (full name, phone, e-mail, address) in the pop-up window or
in another page indicated in the pop-up window within one hour of receiving the
notification. JitBot is not responsible for the failure to
receive/submit/register the contact information (either pop-up window or page
designated by the pop-up window) for any reasons whether it be network failure,
application failure or other problems resulting in the inability to complete
the contest requirements. Failure to comply with any portions of the rules will
result in a nullified contest. Upon receiving a valid contact information from
the selected winner, JitBot will ship the prize to the winner by courrier of
our choice within 30 days. Prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged.
JitBot does not provide any warranty on the prize and is not
responsible for damages incurred during shipping. JitBot makes available a
fixed number of prizes and the choice of prize to give out at its discretion.
Each contestant is allowed to win no more than one prize from JitBot. JitBot
reserves the rights to refuse any contestant for reasons of insufficient
information, invalid entry, failure to comply with the contest rules or any
other reason at our own discretion. JitBot reserves the right to terminate the
contest and/or offer a different prize at any time. The number of prizes and
the odds of winning can vary depending on the number of valid contestants and
the traffic received at JitBot.com. JitBot reserves the right to modify the
contest rules as it sees fit over time.
The information, services and products available to you on this
Web site may contain errors and are subject to periods of interruption. While
JitBot does its best to maintain the information, services and products it
offers on the Web site, it cannot be held responsible for any errors, defects,
lost profits or other consequential damages arising from the use of this Web
